Frosted Sugar Cookies

These Frosted Sugar Cookies soft, thick, and  delicious! They're also super easy to make.

Steps for making these frosted sugar cookies

01 Sift to combine the dry ingredients

02 Beat the butter and sugar

03 Add the eggs one at a time, vanilla and almond extract

05 Roll out the dough and chill it. 

06 Cut out the cookies, bake and decorate!

Roll cookie dough out BEFORE chilling it

Warmer cookie dough is easier to roll out. Using parchment paper makes cookies easy to cut out. 

Bake cookies 8-11 minutes.

Cool on a rack then decorate!

Make the buttercream frosting. 

Frost with white frosting.

Crushed freeze dried strawberries or sprinkles look pretty on white frosting!

Pipe some of the frosting on as well!
