Key Lime Pound Cake

This easy key lime pound cake  is moist lime loaf cake soaked with tangy lime drizzle. Make this recipe with regular limes or key limes.

-Lime zest and lime juice (use regular or key limes) -Granulated sugar -Powdered sugar -Sour cream -Vegetable oil (optional) -Butter -Flour -Baking powder and baking soda -Salt Vanilla extract

Rub the lime zest into the sugar. Add the butter and beat until mixture is light and fluffy. Add oil if using. Add the lime juice. Mix in the eggs one at a time.


Mix in the dry ingredients alternatively with the sour cream until combined.


Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl with a spatula.


While the cake bakes, add powdered sugar to a small bowl. Stir in enough lime juice to make a thin paste.


As soon as the cake finishes baking, place the pan on a wire rack. Poke holes in cake and pour drizzle over it.


Slice and ENJOY!
