Why This Recipe Works
- You only a few ingredients and a few minutes of hands on time to make.
- They’re made with simple ingredients that most people have on hand.
- Everyone loves this no bake strawberry dessert!
- Fresh strawberries add color and fruity flavor! They’re the perfect dessert for strawberry season!
Ingredients
Below are notes on some of the ingredients.
- Pretzels: Crushed pretzels make the base for this simple crust.
- Butter: We are using melted unsalted butter for the crust. The butter helps the pretzel crust stick together.
- Cream cheese: Use full fat room temperature, brick style cream cheese.
- Heavy cream: Heavy cream makes the filling extra creamy and decadent. Use heavy cream, not whipping cream. Make sure the heavy cream has a fat content of at least 35%. Make sure heavy cream is cold.
- Rose water: Rose water adds a lovely floral flavor to the filling. Rose water is very potent, so I recommend using it sparingly. I like to use about 1/4 teaspoon. Use a bit more for more flavor.
- Strawberries: Strawberries add color and tart, sweet taste. Since strawberries are the star of the show, I use fresh strawberries. For extra flavor, add some lemon zest or a little melted jam to the berries!

Instructions
Step 1: Pulse together the pretzels, powdered sugar and melted butter in a food processor until the pretzels are fine crumbs. Divide the mixture between two glasses or jars.
Step 2: In a large bowl, beat the room temperature cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Set aside. In a medium sized bowl, whip the heavy cream to soft peaks. Add the rose water or vanilla and continue beating to stiff peaks. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
Step 3: Divide the mixture between the two glasses. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at 2-3 hours to set.
Step 4: Stir the strawberries in the jam (if using) to coat. Top each pie with strawberries just before serving.

Expert Tips
- Tip #1: Use heavy cream, not whipping cream. Heavy cream has a higher fat content and whips better. Your heavy cream should have a fat content of over 35%.
- Tip #2: Make sure the heavy cream is cold. Cream whips best when it’s cold.
- Tip #3: Don’t over-whip the cream past stiff peaks. Whipped cream can go from soft peaks to stiff peaks to being overwhipped very quickly.
