Expert Tips
- Sift your matcha powder before using. This will remove any clumps. It’s easier to do this before whisking in the water.
- Make the matcha when you’re ready to serve/enjoy the affogato. Do not make the matcha too early or it will get cold.
- Use a shallow bowl or a glass. Try not to use a glass that’s too tall so that it’s easy to dig into.
- Use two meidum to large scoops of ice cream for each serving.
- Matcha affogatos make a delicious dessert for guests! I recommend letting your guests pour their matcha over their ice cream! It’s really fun and they can dig in immediately after pouring.
